The Panthella Table Lamp by Verner Panton – Soft Light with Screen Presence
Originally designed in 1971 by Danish design visionary Verner Panton, the Panthella Table Lamp remains one of his most celebrated creations—and it’s easy to see why.
With its sculptural, organic form, the Panthella is more than a light source—it’s a statement. Panton’s aim was to create a lamp where both the base and the shade acted as reflectors, producing a beautifully soft, diffused glow that flatters interiors and flatters those within them. The result is an ambient, atmospheric light that feels both futuristic and glamorous.
Its presence on screen confirms its style credentials. The Panthella has featured in the dazzling, retro-futuristic sets of Fantastic Four: First Steps, the emotionally charged Me Without You, The Playlist, and the ever-chic The Devil Wears Prada. Wherever it appears, it brings a note of playful elegance and midcentury poise.
Available in a range of sizes and finishes, this timeless lamp works beautifully in bedrooms, reading corners, sideboards and studio desks alike.
