The Playlist brings us music and all the furniture feels
Did you spot all the inspiring interior design and notable furniture in The Playlist? Currently steaming on Netflix the series is inspired by the book Spotify Untold and tells the story of young Swedish tech entrepreneur, Daniel Ek (Edvin Endre) and his key partners who revolutionised the music industry through free and legal streaming when they launched Spotify.
In the episode titled The Industry we get a good look around the series’ take on Swedish music mogul Per Sundin’s (played by Ulf Stenberg) beautiful home. It’s worthy of a closer look.
In his wood panelled office we find some brown leather Barcelona chairs and an Eames Lounge chair.
Sexy as hell and an icon of the modern movement, the Knoll Barcelona chair designed by Mies van der Rohe.
The first Eames lounge chair and ottoman was designed by Charles and Ray Eames as a gift for Billy Wilder, the director of classic film Some Like It Hot. Charles and Ray Eames’ furniture feature in multiple movies: When film set decorators need to convey a character’s good taste and style or when they simply need an extremely handsome piece in a domestic or office setting, we’ll often spot an Eames creation and more than often a classic Lounge chair.
In Per’s son’s bedroom we spotted a Bud grande floor lamp by Harvey Guzzini designed in the 1970s, and a Bertoia diamond chair.
The Bud grande floor lamp by Harvey Guzzini is a 1970s design. The classic Guzzini plastic shade acts in this floor lamp as an uplighter and one such lamp features in the living room in The Romantic Englishwoman.

Also known as the 3107 Chair, the Series 7 Chair showcases a signature curved backrest and has become an instantly recognisable feature of modernist mid-century furniture design.
