Arco floor lamp (new and vintage)
Designer: Achille Castiglioni
Flos
Directors: Guy Hamilton, Leanne Welham, Lenny Abrahamson, Peter Collinson, Joachim Trier
A pioneering icon of the mid-century, the Arco Floor Lamp is a stunning indoor floor lamp aptly named for its arced silhouette.
The Bond Diamonds Are Forever, The Italian Job, Paul’s zone in The Beatles Help!, Iron Man’s sophisticated house, Tron: Legacy and Melissa and Nick’s gorgeous Dublin home in Conversations With Friends, all feature the Daddy of all free standing lights, the Arco lamp. It also appears in the Bramford apartment building in New York City in Apartment 7A as well as in Conclave and Sentimental Value.
Inspired by an urban streetlight and designed by Achille and Pier Castiglioni in 1962, the Arco floor lamp has now garnered legendary status. Crafted from sleek stainless steel, aluminium, and beautifully textured white marble, this gorgeous luminary features a large arching stem that delivers a sweeping profile and perfectly placed lighting that is ideal for brightening up a living room, bedroom, or dining room.
A perfect solution for a room where you want overhead lighting without having to drill a hole in the ceiling, the Arco Lamp brings sophisticated, streamlined style to any home.
