Thonet Chair No 14 (new)

Designer: Michael Thonet

The humblest of chairs caused a revolution in furniture design and became one of the hardest-working pieces of furniture in film.

Generations of art directors and set designers have cast a Thonet bentwood chair (often the Thonet Chair No14 and Chair No18), also known as the ‘bistro chair’ or ‘cafe chair’, in their films.

The classic Thonet Number 14 Bowback Bentwood chair has been used in pubs, restaurants, cafés and hotels, and originally designed in the 1860’s. The versions we supply are finished in a standard range of stains with a polished seat. Bentwood chairs have a small footprint and, best of all, this chair has a five year warranty.

Available in a wide variety of colours.

Price: Approx £240.
