Panthella Floor Lamp (new and vintage)
Designer: Verner Panton
Louis Poulsen
Directors: Lenny Abrahamson, Matt Shakman
The characterful Panthella Floor Lamp from Louis Poulsen offers the largest iteration of Verner Panton‘s signature design and has a distinctly space age feel.
The Panthella Floor Lamp appears in film and TV series such as The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Conversations With Friends and Killing Eve.
Unveiled by Panton in 1971, this edition flaunts an injection-moulded ABS form with a distinctive white acrylic shade, directing light downwards to avoid glare and cast a soft, comfortable glow.
Gifted with a unique sense of colour, shape and light, Verner Panton is renowned worldwide as one of Denmark’s most influential designers. Boldly creating furniture and lighting that was completely unlike his contemporaries’ work, Panton’s designs are housed in collections at New York’s MoMA, Copenhagen’s Danish Museum of Art and Design and the Design Museum in London.
