For the Bold: We’ve studied the eye catching carpet design which was chosen to appear in the Overlook Hotel’s Room 237 in The Shining from dawn ’til dusk and been through the most rigorous of high quality carpet sampling tests.

We are now thrilled to present this memorable, maximalist purple and green carpet with a decidedly retro aesthetic, now available for sale. The fact this design was chosen for Room 237 in Kubrick’s The Shining‘s Overlook Hotel makes it the second most iconic carpet in film (the first, of course, being the Hicks Hexagon carpet design seen in the corridor, for which Film and Furniture has become famous).

Room 237 in The Shining is the stuff of legend and the carpet from Overlook Hotel’s Room 237 carpet is available in beautifully crafted, 100% 1 ply wool, and as luxury rugs, runners and wall-to-wall carpet for your own home… If you dare!

For large areas, a budget printed nylon version is also available.

1 Ply Wool, hand tufted
A high quality material and this is our recommendation for our luxury carpet, rugs and runners. Hard wearing and suitable for domestic and commercial spaces. The wool is from New Zealand and has low levels of lanolin, the natural oils found in a sheep’s wool.
Price = approx £527.80 per square meter excluding VAT  (depending on total size required).
No minimum order.

Printed Nylon
Digitally printed on nylon. This is a budget option. Hardwearing and suitable for domestic and commercial spaces.
UK and Europe
Price = approx £153.40 per square meter excluding VAT (depending on total size required).
Minimum order = approx 30sqm. Smaller orders will be subject to a higher price and can be quoted as required.
Standard roll widths = UK and Europe 4m widths
USA
Price = approx £166.40 per square meter excluding VAT (depending on total size required).
Minimum order = approx 55sqm (65sy). Smaller orders will be subject to a higher price and can be quoted as required.
