We’ve meticulously studied every detail of the Overlook Hotel’s Gold Room carpet from Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining and are delighted to bring this iconic design to life. Now, you can own a piece of this cinematic masterpiece, available as high-quality, hand-tufted rugs and runners crafted from 100% wool—or even as wall-to-wall carpeting for those looking to make a grand statement.

The Art Deco elegance of the Gold Room, also known as the Gold Ballroom, is where Jack Torrance famously orders his bourbon on the rocks from bartender Lloyd. The carpet in this room is nothing short of exquisite and stands as the third most iconic in horror cinema – right behind the Hicks Hexagon and Room 237 carpets. This design captures the opulence and mystery of the Gold Room, offering a sophisticated yet bold addition to your home, bar, or even your own ballroom.

Customer feedback:
“I’ve been extremely impressed with F&F’s customer service. From placing the order through to delivery I’ve had personalised, timely updates and I am absolutely delighted with the finished product.”
Andy, London

“When I found out about The Shining carpet and ordered one early this year, never could I have imagined the whole world to be in actual state of quarantine on its arrival. Even though my Amsterdam apartment is not exactly the Overlook hotel in winter… The rug is exactly like the digital and physical fabric sample that was provided in advance, down to the exact colours. The hexagons fit perfectly! Hand tufted and as thick and solid as a rock! Thank you for this amazing piece to complete my home and for the great on-point service & communication.”
Justin, Amsterdam

“The Shining rug has been in our guest room now for a couple of months now, and we really love it. The fit is just as we expected, and it looks terrific in the space.”
Brandon, Irving, Texas.

“The rug arrived yesterday morning and it is beautiful! I am so glad I went with the nice wool weave. Thank you so so so much!”
Catherine, Pennsylvania
