The 2001 A Space Odyssey cutlery has become some of the most talked about flatware ever to feature on the big screen.
The futuristic, elegant stainless steel cutlery used by the Jupiter Mission crew to eat dinner In Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) were in fact designed a decade earlier than the film’s release, by Danish designer Arne Jacobsen.
The same cutlery appears in Star Trek Strange New Worlds.
Given their modernist aesthetic and minimalistic shapes, they still look so utterly contemporary today.
Add cutting edge design to your home with a 16 or 24 piece cutlery set from Georg Jensen.
Made from stainless steel with a sleek mirror finish, each piece’s handle tapers to a subtle point.
