Harry Bertoia Bench

Lydia Tar’s apartment in Tar is a feast for the senses. She has sharp taste.

We find many interesting pieces of furniture and decor including the Harry Bertoia bench which she uses to stack books.

This simple design was the first piece of furniture created by Harry Bertoia for Knoll. The welded wire base shows off Bertoia’s early exploration of metal – a material he later utilised to create the highly recognisable 1952 collection with the signature wire grid.
