This set of two model 042 lounge chairs were designed by Geoffrey Harcourt for Artifort. This mid-century modern design of 1963 features frames in heavy, flat, bar steel which supports the faux leather upholstered seats.
 
 This same design of chair was seen (upholstered in smokey blue) in Kubrick’s masterpiece 2001: A Space Odyssey in the conference room where Dr Floyd briefs his colleagues.
