G Plan 6250 chair, Blofeld wingback swivel chair (vintage)
G Plan
Directors: Lewis Gilbert, Francois Truffaut
Possibly one of the most famous chairs ever to be captured on the big screen, supervillain Blofeld’s chair in the Bond movie You Only Live Twice (1967) is the 6250 chair, launched by the very British company G Plan in 1962.
The villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld, played by Donald Pleasence made this chair his true domain, often with his cat in tow.
The G Plan 6250 chair with it’s distinctive wingback also makes a star appearance in Fahrenheit 451, Mr Harrigan’s Phone and the Beatles’ Help!
