So, grab a cup of something festive and explore our handpicked selection of home accessories, books, and barware—all brimming with character. This year, give a gift that sparks conversation and tells its own story.
1. Flavio Poli Murano Glass ashtray as seen in Ripley
This year, Ripley had us all mesmerised with its bewitching locations, inspiring Italian interiors and array of desirable objects.
Objects and props are crucial in Ripley. Tom’s obsession with Dickie extends to Dickie’s possessions, revealing much about Dickie’s wealth and personality as well as Tom’s plans. From a pen to a ring, to a typewriter, these objects carry hidden narratives.
Then there’s THE ashtray, an object of Tom’s fascination and unlikely weapon. It’s a 1960s Flavio Poli Murano Glass ashtray to be precise.
Find your Flavio Poli ashtray on Etsy.
2. Cushions Inspired by The Shining’s Legendary Patterns
Add a touch of Overlook Hotel style to your film friend’s living room with our Shining cushions, featuring designs based on the film’s most recognisable carpets. From the mesmerising hexagonal corridor pattern to the bold retro vibes of Room 237 and the glamorous Gold Room squares, these cushions are a must for fans of The Shining.
Made in the UK, each cushion features a high-quality cotton-linen cover crafted from pesticide-free natural yarn and comes with a choice of duck feather or poly fibre padding. Starting at £65, or save with a set of all three—plus a 10% discount for Film and Furniture Front Row and Backstage members.
3. Ballrace Newton’s Cradle
In the heart of Swinging London, Loncraine Broxton launched their design company in 1967 above a rag-and-bone shop on Lots Road, Chelsea. Their debut creation, Ballrace—a sleek, chrome take on Newton’s cradle—became the ultimate executive toy of the 1970s and 80s, and it’s ready for a comeback.
Inspired by Bauhaus-period furniture and the work of Marcel Breuer, Ballrace graced the desks of high-powered professionals both in real life and on screen. It’s appeared in everything from Night Shift, where it sat on Chuck Lumley’s desk, to The West Wing, as a focal point in Sam Seaborn’s office.
Stylish and endlessly mesmerising, Ballrace is a design classic worth revisiting.
4. The Mexican Copa Chabela Cuadrada (square glass) as seen in Rick Stein’s Road to Mexico
Back in Stock at last! These large, square, traditional Mexican beer glasses appear in Rick Stein’s Road to Mexico and we tracked them down from a small supplier in Mexico. Organising for this glassware to be sent over to the UK has been a long journey in itself, but we are now proud to be (to the best of our knowledge) the only place in the UK to buy these traditional Mexican glasses which can be used for beer or as a dinner party starter or dessert glass.
Barware to be proud of and a conversation point in their own right – even more so now that they have played a starring role in this celebrity chef’s televised adventures. With super thick glass, which is square with rounded corners, they are designed to keep the liquid contents cold. You can even put them in the freezer to cool the glass in order to keep its contents colder for longer.

5. Pantone mugs bring pops of colour
It’s no surprise to find a Pantone mug in The Room Next Door —a nod to Pedro Almodóvar’s signature use of bold, vibrant colours in his film sets. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and love of striking palettes, Almodóvar often transforms everyday objects into visual highlights that reflect his characters’ emotions and personalities. The presence of the Pantone mug feels perfectly at home in a world shaped by his distinctive aesthetic, where colour isn’t just decoration—it’s storytelling.
Refresh your friend’s and family’s kitchen cupboards with the newly designed Pantone Mug by Room Copenhagen. With a Pantone coloured body and a white band at the base, each handmade fine china mug bears the Pantone logo and the relevant Pantone colour code.
6. For the writer in your life
Talking of The Room Next Door, in Martha’s apartment we spied a gorgeous Olivetti Studio 45 turquoise portable typewriter.
The perfect desk accessory for old school writers and dreamers, this would make a unique gift on which to write a love letter, or poem, or set your goals high and write an award winning novel or screen play.
7. Solid sterling silver condiment lid as seen in Saltburn
The design team drew inspiration from the real butler and house-keeper of Drayton House when creating the grand dining room in the Catton family house in Saltburn.
Despite the formality of a dining table, the Marmite jar and tomato ketchup bottle, upon closer inspection, reveal sterling silver lids—a detail observed from the real estate staff.Â
Handmade from a small business in the UK, these solid silver lids come in a gift box with the jar included. They can even be personalised with names, date and even family crests!
The perfect gift for film fans with discerning taste, these gorgeous lids are available for Marmite, tomato sauce, HP Sauce, Nutella and mustards.
