I am thrilled to announce that Film and Furniture has been nominated for the Best Design Inspiration Blog in the Amara Interior Blog Awards 2018, the Oscars of the interior blogging world, for the third year.

Film and Furniture takes a huge amount of research and time and it’s built on love, well… obsession if I’m honest. But we’ve now gathered a huge audience from around the world so I know that I’m not the only one who looks to the movies for interiors inspiration. We receive all sorts of questions from people trying to track down beautiful or unusual furniture or decor they’ve spotted in their favourite film or TV series – and each and every request is the beginning of a long journey.

Although I founded and am editor of the site, it’s not just me of course. We have guest writers, researchers, volunteer copy checkers, furniture consultants, tech gurus and brilliant designers who all contribute to make the site what it is – not to mention of course all the talented production designers and set decorators who are willing to share their secrets with us.

We have some tough competition if we want to get through to the next stage of the Awards though and we need YOUR vote to help us make the shortlist.
