Triedro Suspension Lamp
Designer: Joe Colombo
Stilnovo
The Triedro lamp, designed by Italian master Joe Colombo in 1970 and produced by Stilnovo, is a striking piece of functional design seen on the testing floor in Severance.
Colombo took inspiration from the stage lamps used on photography sets: the shade is formed from three folded metal panels, directing light downwards with precision while shielding the eye from glare. The glossy white reflector contrasts with the lamp body, joints and holder in black painted metal – a bold monochrome statement typical of Colombo’s futuristic style.
Available as a pendant suspension light, floor lamp, desk lamp or clamp version, Triedro is built for versatility. The floor lamp features a double joint, allowing the head to rotate, tilt and slide smoothly along its steel stem, anchored by a solid circular base. In its clamp form, it can be easily fixed wherever you need light the most.
A timeless blend of sculptural presence and practical function, Triedro is as at home on a film set as it is in a contemporary interior.
