Hicks Hexagon wallpaper (the same design as The Overlook Hotel carpet seen in The Shining)
Designer: David Hicks
Cole & Son
Director: Stanley Kubrick
Hicks Hexagon wallpaper is an official licensed David Hicks product – the same design as the carpet seen in The Overlook Hotel in The Shining.
Film and Furniture fans will know the original inspiration for this very website was the hexagonal patterned carpet in The Shining‘s Overlook Hotel. The carpet in The Hotel’s corridor features prominently in several key scenes, including young Danny’s first unnerving encounter with room 237 as he investigates on his tricycle.
This original David Hicks hexagonal design is also available as a wallpaper by Cole & Son in two different scales of hexagon and several different colour ways. This, the ‘Hicks Hexagon’ is the smaller scale design. See also ‘Hicks Grand‘
An interesting small scale geometric design made up of hexagons with metallic highlights. More colours are available.
Paste-the-wall product.
Pattern repeat is 10cm
£106 per roll.
