The interiors of the house in The Room Next Door are designed with sophistication and serenity, yet Almodóvar’s use of colour shines through: From the forest green sofa where the friends watch films together to the Fazzoletto yellow Murano glass vases designed by Fulvio Bianconi for Venini – which is based on the shape of a handkerchief.
This piece has become part of the permanent exhibits at the MoMA in New York.
