❓If the DS600 sofa were an actor, who would it be?
A bold, versatile, and powerful statement piece—it perfectly embodies Tom Hardy. Which actor would you choose?

We’re thrilled to team up with @chaplinsfurniture to explore eight iconic furniture designs, the films they’ve graced, and imagine which famous actor each piece would embody if it took human form - take a look at our website feature "From screen to scene: Furniture icons that steal the spotlight" (🔗 in bio).

🛋️ This modular sofa exhibits exceptional design and limitless configuration possibilities. With maximum functionality and distinctive comfort, the DS-600 system, created originally in 1972 by De Sede, remains an icon–a unique, versatile addition to any lounge, office or film set, such as The Hunger Games (pic 1+2), Scarface (pic 3), American Horror Story: Hotel (pic 4), Black Mirror: Bandersnatch (pic 5) and Wonder Woman 1984 (pic 6).

🐍 Inspired by an ancient snakelike mythical Alpine creature named the Tatzelwurm, the DS600 is formed of modular elements that can be combined in infinite ways to create a flowing, serpentine seating arrangement.

⟺ Each upholstered segment can be zipped together, allowing for free-flowing, mobile concepts as well as more conventional configurations. It even holds a place in the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s longest sofa.

🇨🇭 Newly made versions of this sofa are crated in a small town in rural Switzerland using luxury leathers.

🌈 Almodovar's signature pops of colour add an upbeat feel to an otherwise sobering subject in his new film The Room Next Door.

The turquoise sofa in this scene, with circular bolster arms and red piping, is a stunner! The sofa is book-ended by 2 glossy red side tables. Upon these we find a matching pair of white globe table lamps. A Louise Bourgeois artwork sits on the wall, and in front we find a large square mustard coffee table ladened with books, and a pair of Pantone mugs.
