🌈 Almodovar's signature pops of colour add an upbeat feel to an otherwise sobering subject in his new film The Room Next Door.

The turquoise sofa in this scene, with circular bolster arms and red piping, is a stunner! The sofa is book-ended by 2 glossy red side tables. Upon these we find a matching pair of white globe table lamps. A Louise Bourgeois artwork sits on the wall, and in front we find a large square mustard coffee table ladened with books, and a pair of Pantone mugs.

🎥 Both the Eames DSW wooden-based plastic side chair and the DAW armchair from the Eames Plastic Group make appearances in the canteen of the Arctic base in The Midnight Sky
🎥 The iconic orange/red Eames DAR armchair is Joan’s choice of chair in Mad Men
🎥 Carrie Fisher delivered the lines of her cool and collected Star Wars audition from a DAX armchair.
🎥 The Eames plastic group rocking chair appears in House of Gucci

🧐 Presented in a range of vibrant hues, Charles and Ray Eames’ plastic group chairs (also known as the fiberglass or polypropylene group of chairs) for Vitra were first launched in 1950. The collection introduced the concept of the multifunctional chair, with side chair and armchair shells that could be combined with various bases. It quickly became one of the best-known furniture pieces of the twentieth century.

With an organic yet contemporary form, the shell seats rest upon different bases, such as the four-legged wooden base with steel ‘Eiffel’ cross struts or curved rockers of the RAR Rocking Armchair.
