❄️ The Eagan family mansion in Severance exudes icy control. Inside: John Pomp’s Rift Table and chairs in thick hand-blown glass, Christophe Côme’s sculptural Triscota Cabinet, and that unforgettable AB Daniel & Son porcelain plate depicting restraint — a perfect metaphor for Lumon’s ideology.

And then there’s the folkloric Birthing Cabin: Cushman furniture, Carlo Scarpa chandeliers, and andirons shaped as Kier and his wife, merging domestic ritual with corporate myth.

🪑 Devon and Ricken’s midcentury home in Severance is filled with treasures: Charlotte Perriand’s Consado Console, Hans Wegner’s CH07 Shell Chair, Isamu Noguchi’s Akari lamps and even Jens Quistgaard’s Dansk grinders in the kitchen. Every piece reflects warmth and individuality.

By contrast, Mark and Gemma’s house we see flashbacks of in Season 2 speaks of fragility and grief — bookshelves lined with Russian literature, piles left undone, and a Christmas tree that echoes Lumon’s Testing Floor.

Devon and Ricken’s eclectic mid-century haven in Severance is a warm counterpoint to Lumon’s cold corridors. Their Usonian home glows with design history including a George Nelson’s Cigar Lotus Floor Lamp and Poul Henningsen’s PH Table Lamp. Together they create light that feels human, eccentric, and alive — the very opposite of Lumon’s fluorescent control.

An unconventional romantic comedy with a dark twist, @paulandpaulettetakeabath explores how spaces carry history and memory. 🏢 Authority has its own aesthetic. In Severance, even power is designed.

Season 1’s Management Office placed its figure of authority in Charles and Ray Eames’ Time-Life/Lobby Chair (available from @hollowaysofludlow) - a design long associated with boardrooms and corporate decision-making. By Season 2, we find a Warren Platner iconic desk and a Ricardo Fasanello Fardos lounge chair combined to create a space where corporate mythmaking meets design history.

The Visitation Room, meanwhile, collapses identity into Lumon’s palette. Marc Newson’s Nimrod chairs were reupholstered to match the carpet, while even the custom sidetable was powder-coated to conform. Nearly every surface belongs to Lumon.

And then there’s the Break Room with Marc Newson’s sculptural Nimrod chairs, and the boardroom with custom made 45-foot resin table, gleaming and alien, with Shiro Kuramata’s Apple Honey Chairs.

✨ Designs we admire — made uncanny in Lumon’s world.

📺 Good day at work?

Severance is design as narrative — and fresh from its Emmy wins (including for Production Design), we felt it was high time to give it the Film and Furniture treatment.

🪑 Mid-century design that feels covetable at home becomes uncanny at Lumon.
In the Severed Floor Reception, Henry Glass lounge chairs sit like silent judges — elegant silhouettes drained of comfort.

In the Wellness Room, innies endure Ms Casey’s “sessions” in Karpen of California Slipper Chairs. Their armless, low-slung elegance, once perfect for a bedroom corner, becomes a clinical tool of surveillance.

Even Dieter Rams’ Braun Hi-Fi Wall Unit Stereo embodies his “less but better” ethos. At Lumon, its quiet modernism is reframed as another emblem of control.

✨ Designs we’d gladly live with at home — made strange by Lumon’s world.

Production Designer Jeremy Hindle and set decorators Andrew Baseman (Season 1) and David Schlesinger (Season 2) created a world that is instantly recognisable yet deeply strange.
