🎬 It’s World James Bond Day — 5 October, ma 🎬 It’s World James Bond Day — 5 October, marking the world premiere of Dr No in 1962 and the birth of 007 on screen.

Sean Connery’s debut introduced cinema audiences to Ian Fleming’s secret agent, while Ken Adam redefined production design with sets that fused glamour, innovation and scale. Dr No gave us the stylised gun-barrel sequence, John Barry’s unforgettable theme, a rare glimpse into Bond’s London townhouse (only shown again in Live and Let Die and Spectre), and even a moving “travelator” in the decontamination scene.

Since then, Bond film sets have doubled as showcases for design classics:
– UP Chair & Ottoman by Gaetano Pesce (Diamonds Are Forever)
– G Plan 6250 Blofeld Chair (You Only Live Twice)
– Bodil Kjær Desk (From Russia With Love, You Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service)
– Pantonova seating system by Verner Panton (The Spy Who Loved Me)
– Cantilever 291 Chair by Steen Ostergaard (The Spy Who Loved Me)

From futuristic lairs to modernist hideaways, Bond’s interiors are every bit as legendary as the man himself. 🕶️🍸

Cement your love of Severance with THE chair from Cement your love of Severance with THE chair from Lumon HQ 🪑✨ If you’re looking for a true statement and conversation piece, this is it.

The Nimrod chair, designed by Marc Newson for Magis, makes multiple appearances in the series. It’s first spotted in the Visitation Room — the secret suite Milchick reveals to Dylan as an Outie Family Visitation perk — where its futuristic curves and generous Kvadrat upholstery add both comfort and unease. In this room the chairs were custom-dyed to match the carpet, so that nearly every surface dissolves into the same palette, collapsing depth and making occupants feel absorbed into Lumon itself.

They also return in the Break Room in purple, where, by Season 2, a new side of this space is revealed: more presentable, with a TV screen — almost akin to what a real-world break room might look like.

The Nimrod is a chair that belongs equally on a film set or in your living room.

The unmistakable silhouette of Charles Rennie Mack The unmistakable silhouette of Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s Hill House Chair appears in the trailer for Julia Jackman’s 100 Nights of Hero — adapted from Isabel Greenberg’s graphic novel. Actors @maikamonroe and Amir El-Masry are seated on these striking ladderback chairs, where design becomes as symbolic as the story itself.

Although designed in 1902 for Walter Blackie’s Hill House near Glasgow, the Hill House Chair is in many ways timeless — making it a fitting choice for a film set in a fantastical, out-of-history world of @100nightsofhero. Its soaring ladderback and slender, black-stained frame embody Mackintosh’s vision of furniture as an extension of architecture.

Mackintosh’s creations have been spotted on screen before — from American Psycho to Blade Runner — but here they underscore the film’s blend of myth, love and storytelling.

❄️ The Eagan family mansion in Severance exude ❄️ The Eagan family mansion in Severance exudes icy control. Inside: John Pomp’s Rift Table and chairs in thick hand-blown glass, Christophe Côme’s sculptural Triscota Cabinet, and that unforgettable AB Daniel & Son porcelain plate depicting restraint — a perfect metaphor for Lumon’s ideology.

And then there’s the folkloric Birthing Cabin: Cushman furniture, Carlo Scarpa chandeliers, and andirons shaped as Kier and his wife, merging domestic ritual with corporate myth.

🪑 Devon and Ricken’s midcentury home in Sever 🪑 Devon and Ricken’s midcentury home in Severance is filled with treasures: Charlotte Perriand’s Consado Console, Hans Wegner’s CH07 Shell Chair, Isamu Noguchi’s Akari lamps and even Jens Quistgaard’s Dansk grinders in the kitchen. Every piece reflects warmth and individuality.

By contrast, Mark and Gemma’s house we see flashbacks of in Season 2 speaks of fragility and grief — bookshelves lined with Russian literature, piles left undone, and a Christmas tree that echoes Lumon’s Testing Floor.
