World’s Fair Saturn lamp (vintage)
As seen in:
Director: Ridley Scott
To achieve maximum Future Noir moodiness Deckard’s apartment in Blade Runner features little to no overhead lighting. Instead the surfaces are filled with a myriad of lamps including a strangely kitsch World’s Fair Saturn lamp. The same lamp also features in Twin Peaks ‘Red Room’.
The art deco light from the 1930’s is sometimes called a Saturn lamp.
