LC3/LC2 Sofa by Le Corbusier (vintage)

Designers: Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, Pierre Jeanneret

Directors: Ethan Coen, Joel Coen, Rupert Goold

The LC3 and LC2 Sofa is a true design classic by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret for Cassina and is available as a 3-seater or 2-seater.

The sofa is seen in Judy, and the chair version of this design the LC3 Armchair is seen in Sherlock.

The sofa and chairs are also seen in Maude Lebowski’s art studio in The Big Lebowski.

Originally designed in 1928, this timeless modernist design has a sculptural shape and comfortable arm rests that ensure this sofa was ahead of its time. Crafted from a chromed tubular steel frame that supports the graphite Scozia leather seats, the LC3 3-Seater Sofa is padded with feathers for optimal comfort.

With its machine-age materials and lack of ornamentation, the 1928 Sofa is a classic example of the refined functional aesthetic that was embraced by such designers as Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret.

We can source vintage versions of the LC2 and LC3 arm chair and sofas.
