Very rare D&AD annual from 1964 – the first D&AD annual that was ever produced to coincide with the second annual exhibition of the Designers and Art Directors Association, London (the first exhibition of 1963 did not have an annual).

Includes images of award winning consumer magazines, trade and professional magazines, design for press, book covers (including Penguin books), logos, what was then called applied design (signage, exhibition designs), TV and film titles and trailers all from 1963-1964.

Dust jacket worn and yellowed, with slight tears (see photo).
All inner pages clean and in excellent condition (part from inside cover and first spread and which show signs of ageing with spots and yellowing – see photos).

Features some stunning 1960s modernist design work and is an incredible document of the design approach and thinking of this highly influential decade.
